NRB issues foreign currency exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 151.62 and the selling rate at Rs 152.22.

Similarly, the buying and selling rates for one euro have been set at Rs 176.47 and Rs 177.17 respectively, while one pound sterling is being traded at Rs 204.25 for buying and Rs 205.06 for selling. The Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 192.53 for buying and Rs 193.27 for selling.

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is being exchanged at Rs 108.29 (buying) and Rs 108.72 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 109.25 and Rs 109.68, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 118.15 and Rs 118.62 respectively.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen has been set at Rs 9.48 and the selling rate at Rs 9.52. One Chinese yuan is valued at Rs 22.41 for buying and Rs 22.50 for selling.

Likewise, the buying and selling rates for the Saudi Arabian riyal have been fixed at Rs 40.38 and Rs 40.54, while the Qatari riyal is being traded at Rs 41.62 and Rs 41.79 respectively.

The Thai baht is priced at Rs 4.65 for buying and Rs 4.67 for selling. The UAE dirham is valued at Rs 41.28 and Rs 41.45, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 37.64 and Rs 37.79.

Similarly, 100 South Korean won is being exchanged at Rs 9.85 for buying and Rs 9.89 for selling. The Swedish krona has been fixed at Rs 16.24 and Rs 16.30, while the Danish krone is valued at Rs 23.61 and Rs 23.70 respectively.

The Hong Kong dollar is trading at Rs 19.35 for buying and Rs 19.43 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar has been fixed at Rs 493.96 and Rs 495.91, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 402.07 and Rs 403.66, and the Omani rial at Rs 393.80 and Rs 395.36 respectively.

The exchange rate for Indian currency has been set at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling per 100 Indian rupees.

NRB stated that exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. The rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s website.
