Former Kathmandu Metropolitan City chief administrative officer acquitted



KATHMANDU: Former chief administrative officer of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Pradeep Pariyar, has been acquitted in a corruption case by the Special Court.

A bench of Special Court judges Narayan Prasad Paudel, Hemant Rawal and Umesh Koirala delivered the verdict on Tuesday, clearing Pariyar of the charges.
Pariyar had been accused of irregularities in contract processes while serving as the chief administrative officer of the metropolis.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had filed a corruption case against him and seven others at the Special Court on June 11.
