Two killed, one missing in disaster-related incidents



KATHMANDU: Two people have died and one person has gone missing in 66 disaster-related incidents reported from 52 districts across the country. A total of 20 people have also been injured.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), the incidents occurred between 10:00 am on Aug. 1 and 10:00 am on Aug. 4 and included snakebites, fires, floods, landslides, heavy rainfall, lightning strikes, and wild animal attacks.

The Authority said two people died and one went missing in flood-related incidents. Three people were injured in floods, 11 in snakebite incidents, two in fires, one in a landslide, and three in wild animal attacks.

A total of 102 people were rescued, and 330 police personnel were mobilized for response and rescue operations.
