Five arrested with brown heroin and tramadol



SINDHULI: Police have arrested five people with brown heroin and tramadol from Bhiman in Kamalamai Municipality-9, Sindhuli, during a regular patrol operation.

According to the Central Police Newsroom, police recovered 45.190 grams of brown heroin from 20-year-old Sandesh Yadav of Mirchaiya Municipality-5, Siraha, who was riding a motorcycle (Madhesh Province 05-001 Ja 0086) traveling from Mahottari toward Kathmandu.

Police also arrested 20-year-old Rahul Kumar Mandal of Kamala Municipality-7, Dhanusha, and 20-year-old Abhishek Kumar Sah of Kalyanpur Municipality-6, Siraha, who were riding another motorcycle (02-046 Pa 4853). They are accused of being involved in drug trafficking.

In a separate seizure, police arrested 30-year-old Bikash Dahal of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City-6, Sunsari, and 24-year-old Sagar Karki of Itahari Sub-metropolitan City-17, who were traveling in a Hiace van (Ba Pra 01-006 Kha 3712) coming from Morang toward Kathmandu.

From them, police recovered 820 milligrams of a substance suspected to be brown heroin and 1,430 tablets of the controlled drug tramadol.

Police said further investigation into the case is underway.
