Indian pilgrim drowns in Janakpur pond



JANAKPURDHAM: An Indian pilgrim drowned in Telha Pond near the Janaki Temple in Janakpurdham last night.

According to Madhusudan Neupane, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Dhanusha, the deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Adarsha Kumar Jha of Hajipur, Bihar, India.

Local youths rescued Jha immediately after the incident and rushed him to the Provincial Hospital in Janakpurdham, where he died while undergoing treatment, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Neupane said.
