KATHMANDU: A total of 193 bodies recovered from sites affected by the Bhotekoshi flash flood have been brought to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) in Maharajgunj.
Dr Gopal Chaudhary, chief of the hospital’s forensic laboratory, said post-mortem examinations had been completed on 174 of the bodies brought to the hospital.
So far, only 24 bodies have been identified and handed over to their families and relatives, according to the hospital. Dr Chaudhary said 161 of the bodies brought to TUTH had been managed at the hospital following the completion of the necessary procedures.
