APF seizes 774 electric vehicles over suspected customs evasion



KATHMANDU: The Armed Police Force (APF) has taken control of 774 electric vehicles that entered Nepal through the Korala border point in Mustang on suspicion of customs evasion.

According to APF spokesperson Bishnu Prasad Bhatta, the vehicles were seized overnight from Jomsom in Mustang, Kusma in Parbat, and Hemja in Kaski.

Security personnel from APF No. 33 Gulma in Mustang, Myagdi Gulma, No. 25 Chandika Battalion in Parbat, and No. 24 Kalika Battalion in Kaski were mobilized for the operation.

Meanwhile, two additional vehicles were also taken under control from the Pasang Lhamu Highway in Nuwakot.

Further investigation into the matter is underway, authorities said.
