RSP dissolves Rasuwa district committee

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party has dissolved its Rasuwa district committee as part of an internal restructuring decision.

Party spokesperson Manish Jha said the decision was taken by the party’s central secretariat meeting based on a recommendation from the Bagmati provincial committee.

The meeting decided to dissolve the existing district committee and move ahead with reorganization through a new process.

Along with this, the party also approved a framework for candidate selection for the upcoming local elections, titled “Local Election Candidate Selection Framework–2083.” A committee under the coordination of co-general secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya has been formed to implement it.

The secretariat meeting also approved the revised parliamentary party statute and passed the “General Convention Procedure–2083” aimed at facilitating the party’s first general convention.
