NRB sets today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign currency exchange rates for today (Friday). The buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 148.67, while the selling rate stands at Rs 149.27.

Similarly, the buying rate of one euro is Rs 171.24 and the selling rate is Rs 171.93. The UK pound sterling is valued at Rs 196.13 for buying and Rs 196.92 for selling, while the Swiss franc stands at Rs 185.78 for buying and Rs 186.53 for selling.

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is priced at Rs 102.03 (buying) and Rs 102.44 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 106.79 and Rs 107.22, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 115.44 and Rs 115.91, respectively.

For Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen are valued at Rs 9.31 (buying) and Rs 9.34 (selling). The Chinese yuan is set at Rs 21.55 and Rs 21.64, the Saudi Arabian riyal at Rs 39.61 and Rs 39.77, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 40.78 and Rs 40.94.

The Thai baht stands at Rs 4.53 for buying and Rs 4.55 for selling. The UAE dirham is priced at Rs 40.48 and Rs 40.64, while the Malaysian ringgit is valued at Rs 36.81 and Rs 36.96. Similarly, 100 South Korean won are set at Rs 9.80 and Rs 9.84. The Swedish krona is fixed at Rs 15.65 and Rs 15.71, and the Danish krone at Rs 22.92 and Rs 23.01.

The buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar is Rs 18.97 and the selling rate is Rs 19.05. The Kuwaiti dinar is set at Rs 484.50 (buying) and Rs 486.46 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 393.78 and Rs 395.36, and the Omani rial at Rs 386.21 and Rs 387.76. Likewise, the buying rate of 100 Indian rupees is Rs 160, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15.

The central bank stated that these rates are subject to revision at any time as needed. It also noted that exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on its official website.
