KATHMANDU: Former President Bidhya Devi Bhandari visited the Supreme Court on Friday, where she inspected parts of the court premises that were damaged during the Gen-Z movement protests held on September 8 and 9 in 2025.

During the visit, Bhandari observed structures of the court that were set on fire during the protests and took information from court officials and judges regarding the extent of the damage and the status of reconstruction.

According to sources, the former President also held a one-on-one meeting with Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut. The discussion was held privately, with members of both secretariats asked to remain outside.

The meeting between Bhandari and Chief Justice Raut reportedly lasted around one hour, during which they discussed issues related to the damage caused during the protests and the broader situation of the judiciary following the unrest.
