113 apply for Vice Chancellor posts in health science academies



KATHMANDU: A total of 113 candidates have applied for the vacant Vice Chancellor positions in various health science academies across the country.

The Secretariat of the Vice Chancellor Selection and Recommendation Committee under the Ministry of Health and Food Safety made the information public on Monday, stating that applications were received through an online system.

According to the committee, the highest number of applications—24—was received for the post at the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) in Mahabouddha, Kathmandu.

Similarly, 26 applications were received for the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences, 19 for the Patan Academy of Health Sciences, 17 for the Rapti Academy of Health Sciences, and 16 for the B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.

The lowest number of applications—11—was received for the Vice Chancellor position at the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences in Jumla.

The committee has begun the process of reviewing the applications for further shortlisting and selection.
