Gold and silver prices decline



KATHMANDU: Prices of gold and silver declined in the domestic market on Sunday, extending their downward trend from Friday.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Federation, the price of one tola of hallmarked gold has been fixed at Rs 300,000, while silver is being traded at Rs 5,500 per tola today.

On Friday, one tola of printed gold was priced at Rs 318,800, while silver stood at Rs 7,065. On Thursday, gold was traded at Rs 339,300 per tola, and silver at Rs 7,505.

Similarly, on Wednesday, the price of one tola of printed gold was Rs 318,800, while silver was priced at Rs 7,300. On Tuesday, gold stood at Rs 309,300 per tola, and silver at Rs 6,870.

According to international media reports, gold is trading at USD 4,865 per ounce in the international market today, while silver is being traded at USD 85 per ounce.
