National Assembly meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the National Assembly of the Federal Parliament is taking place today at 1:15 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

In today’s session, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung is scheduled to present a proposal to refer the Cinema Bill, 2081 to the Legislative Management Committee for clause-by-clause discussion.

Similarly, Kamala Pant, Chair of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee, will table a proposal to discuss the Study Report on Nepal’s Graduation from a Least Developed Country to a Developing Country, 2081.

Pant will also inform the Assembly about letters received from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers concerning the allocation of responsibilities to members of the Council of Ministers.

Earlier in the day, a meeting of the Legislative Management Committee was held at 10:30 AM. The committee discussed the National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081 clause by clause.
