Three killed in Palpa jeep accident



PALPA: Three people have died in a jeep accident in Palpa, while two others, including the driver, have been injured.

According to the District Police Office, Palpa, the accident occurred last night in Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality (Siddheshwor).

The jeep, registered as Lu 3 Cha 2377, was traveling from Asare towards Thulopokhari when it lost control and plunged approximately 200 meters off the road around 10:15 p.m. on Sunday.

The victims have been identified as 31-year-old Chetnarayan BK, 36-year-old Dipendra Budha, and 22-year-old Janak Regami Magar, all from Rainadevi-1, Palpa, said DSP Sunil Malla, the Information Officer of the District Police Office.

The driver, 27-year-old Ranjan Reshmi Magar, and 22-year-old Saroj Budha, were injured in the incident.

Magar’s condition is reported to be critical. Both injured individuals are receiving treatment at Lumbini Hospital and Mission Hospital in Palpa.
