Security tightened at CPN-UML office

KATHMANDU: In response to the unrest, security has been heightened at the CPN-UML party headquarters in Chyasal, Lalitpur.

The Kathmandu District Administration Office has imposed a curfew in the Tinkune, Koteshwor, and Sinamangal areas after royalist protests turned violent on Friday.

The curfew, effective from 4 pm, follows a series of escalating tensions as royalists set fire to the CPN-Unified Socialist Party office and caused widespread damage to private property and media houses.

The government has taken measures to prevent further violence as the royalists continue their protest despite the curfew.
