NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today, with the value of the US dollar increasing once again. According to the rates published by the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 143.47, while the selling rate stands at Rs 144.07.

Similarly, the buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at Rs 168.99 and the selling rate at Rs 169.69. One UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 193.58 and sold at Rs 194.39, while the Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 181.73 and a selling rate of Rs 182.49.

The Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 96.18 and sold at Rs 96.58, while the Canadian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 104.87 and a selling rate of Rs 105.31. Likewise, the Singapore dollar is being bought at Rs 111.74 and sold at Rs 112.20.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.17 and the selling rate at Rs 9.21. One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 20.48 and sold at Rs 20.56. Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 38.25 and a selling rate of Rs 38.41, while the Qatari riyal is being bought at Rs 39.35 and sold at Rs 39.52.

According to the central bank, the Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.62 and sold at Rs 4.64. The UAE dirham has a buying rate of Rs 39.06 and a selling rate of Rs 39.23, while the Malaysian ringgit is being bought at Rs 35.44 and sold at Rs 35.59. The buying rate of 100 South Korean won has been fixed at Rs 9.93 and the selling rate at Rs 9.97.

Likewise, the Swedish krona is being bought at Rs 15.64 and sold at Rs 15.70, while the Danish krone has a buying rate of Rs 22.62 and a selling rate of Rs 22.72.

Nepal Rastra Bank has also set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.46 and the selling rate at Rs 18.54. The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 466.96 and sold at Rs 468.92, while the Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of Rs 380.36 and a selling rate of Rs 381.95. Similarly, the Omani rial is being bought at Rs 372.64 and sold at Rs 374.20. The buying rate of one hundred Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, while the selling rate stands at Rs 160.15.

The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It has also clarified that exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the latest rates can be accessed on the Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
