Kathmandu’s minimum temperature drops to 6.1°C



KAHTMANDU: The cold is intensifying across the country, including Kathmandu Valley.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the minimum temperature in the Valley was recorded at 6.4 degrees Celsius at 5:45 a.m. today, Thursday. This was the same as yesterday, Wednesday, at the same time.

However, when measured again at 8:45 a.m., the temperature had dropped further to 6.1 degrees Celsius. The official minimum temperature for today will be updated based on the 8:45 a.m. reading.

The Division records both the minimum and maximum temperatures of various locations across the country, including Kathmandu, every day.

The lowest temperature recorded in a day is considered the minimum, while the highest is the maximum. Meteorologists note that minimum temperatures are measured at 8:45 a.m., whereas maximum temperatures are measured at 5:45 p.m.
