Jagdamba Group chairman Shanker Agarwal arrested



KATHMANDU: Shanker Lal Agarwal, chairman of the Jagdamba Group, has been arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau.

Agarwal was taken into custody on Friday evening as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged money laundering. He is also associated with the Shankar Group, one of Nepal’s leading business houses.

He had recently expanded business ventures in partnership with businessman Deepak Bhatta, along with his sons Sahil Agarwal and Sulabh Agarwal. Police said further investigation into the case is ongoing.
