Dialogue between Balen and RSP progressing positively: Ganesh Parajuli

KATHMANDU: Former lawmaker of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP ), Ganesh Parajuli, has claimed that the dialogue between Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah and the party is moving toward a consensus.

Parajuli said that Mayor Balen is inclined to join RSP, and positive news from the discussions could be expected soon. He added that all alternative political forces in the country are prepared to unite, and some frameworks for agreement are already being drafted.

“We have been discussing this for a long time. The talks have been positive and are leaning toward an agreement,” Parajuli told Khabarhub. “No one is willing to leave RSP for another alternative. We have described the talks as positive and consensus-oriented.”

He further indicated that some details of the new consensus could be made public as early as Friday, and that discussions are ongoing to reach a swift resolution.
