PM Oli in Lumbini to inaugurate Nepal-China Buddhist Culture Seminar



LUMBINI: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli arrived in Lumbini this morning to inaugurate the International Seminar on Nepal-China Buddhist Culture and Art, organized by Lumbini Buddhist University.

Upon his arrival in the birthplace of Lord Buddha, Prime Minister Oli was welcomed by Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya.

According to the University, the seminar aims to foster academic dialogue on preserving and innovating Buddhist cultural heritage through collaboration between Nepal and China. The event will highlight intersections in Buddhist art, literature, history, and cross-cultural exchange.

The seminar is being held in collaboration with several institutions including the Lumbini Development Trust, Chinese Culture Promotion Society, World Alliance for the Buddhist Cultural Exchange Ltd, Sariputra Foundation Nepal, and the Wuzhou Calligraphy and Painting Academy.

Organizers confirmed that scholars and representatives from more than 40 countries are attending the international gathering in Lumbini.
