Nepali Congress central committee meeting continues today

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress Central Working Committee meeting is continuing today at the party’s central office in Sanepa. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 1 pm.

The meeting, which began on Sunday, featured a briefing by General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa on preparations for the party’s 15th National General Convention and issues related to the distribution of active membership.

During the discussion, several members stressed the need to revise the convention schedule and make it more practical. However, General Secretary Thapa proposed moving directly to the central general convention after completing ward- and constituency-level conventions.

Members are expected to continue expressing their views in today’s session. The meeting will decide whether to revise the convention schedule or proceed in line with Thapa’s proposal.
