Prime Minister Oli to address Parliament today



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to address the Federal Parliament today (Friday), the first day of the new budget session.

According to sources, the Prime Minister will deliver his remarks at the beginning of the session.

The budget session is expected to focus on key national priorities, economic strategies, and legislative agendas in the run-up to the new fiscal year.

The budget session of the Federal Parliament is set to begin today (Friday) at 1 pm at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

President Ram Chandra Paudel called the session on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, in accordance with Article 93 of the Constitution of Nepal.

This session, commonly known as the budget session, holds significant importance as it will see the presentation of the government’s annual policy and programs, followed by the national budget.

The session is also expected to deliberate on key pending bills, including the Federal Civil Service Act and the School Education Bill.

The previous parliamentary session concluded on March 31. As per constitutional provisions, the interval between two sessions must not exceed six months.
