NCC delegation meets President Paudel



KATHMANDU: A delegation from the National Cadet Corps (NCC) of India, Bhutan, and Maldives paid a courtesy call on President Ram Chandra Paudel today.

The delegation is in Nepal to participate in the Youth Exchange Program 2025, organized in Kathmandu on the occasion of Mahashivaratri and the 262nd anniversary of the establishment of the Nepali Army.

During the meeting at Sheetal Niwas, Paudel, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Nepali Army, highlighted the importance of such exchange programs in fostering mutual understanding and strengthening cultural ties among neighboring countries.

The Youth Exchange Program, facilitated by the Nepali Army, aims to promote cultural exchange and skill-sharing among cadets from the participating countries. It is expected to enhance mutual harmony and deepen bilateral relations by providing insights into each other’s social, economic, and cultural realities.

The visiting delegation, comprising 34 representatives, includes top officials such as Nepal’s National Service Corps Executive Director General, Lieutenant General Yam Prasad Dhakal, India’s NCC Director General Gurbir Pal Singh, Bhutan Scout Association Director Sange Choden, and Maldives delegation leader Rifan Ali, as per the President’s Office.
