Online citizenship recommendation begins in six Baitadi local levels

BAITADI: Six out of ten local levels in Baitadi district have begun providing citizenship recommendation services online. According to Chief District Officer Dirgharaj Upadhyay, the initiative aims to enhance service delivery through technology and ease the burden on service recipients.

Shivnath and Pancheshwor rural municipalities, along with Melauli, Patan, Dasharathchand, and Purchaudi municipalities, have started issuing online recommendations from the ward level.

“This system ensures that applicants only visit the administration office after submitting complete documents, reducing unnecessary trips and frustration,” said CDO Upadhyay.

Officials say the system has sped up service delivery, improved record-keeping, and helped prevent fraudulent applications.

The District Administration Office plans to expand the service to the remaining local levels soon, once internet access and staffing issues are resolved.
