CHITWAN: Minister for Forest and Environment Ain Bahadur Shahi said the government would introduce ‘package’ program to minimize human-wildlife conflict.

Addressing the 8th General Assembly of Tikauli Buffer Zone Community Forest in Chitwan, he said the ministry was developing a special package to resolve the problem arising from human-wildlife conflict.

“Work is in progress after forming a task force to solve the problems of the buffer zone,” he said.

The Minister shared that the government was working to restructure the wildlife department and amend forestry related laws in order to address the issues.

Nepal’s forest and tourism are interlinked, he said, adding the government was working to solve the problems that surfaced in the sector.
