NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 143.15, while the selling rate stands at Rs 143.75.

The buying rate of one euro has been fixed at Rs 167.98 and the selling rate at Rs 168.68. Likewise, one UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 192.31 and sold at Rs 193.11. The Swiss franc is priced at Rs 180.46 for buying and Rs 181.22 for selling.

For other major currencies, the buying rate of one Australian dollar is Rs 95.07 and the selling rate Rs 95.46. One Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs 103.96 and sold at Rs 104.40, while the Singapore dollar stands at Rs 110.95 for buying and Rs 111.41 for selling.

Similarly, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.10 and the selling rate at Rs 9.13. Similarly, one Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 20.34 and sold at Rs 20.43. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 38.17 and a selling rate of Rs 38.33, while the Qatari riyal is priced at Rs 39.27 for buying and Rs 39.44 for selling.

According to the central bank, one Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.59 and sold at Rs 4.61. The UAE dirham has been fixed at Rs 38.98 for buying and Rs 39.14 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 35.10 and Rs 35.25, respectively.

The South Korean won is priced at Rs 9.67 for buying and Rs 9.71 for selling. Likewise, the Swedish krona is being traded at Rs 15.47 for buying and Rs 15.54 for selling, and the Danish krone at Rs 22.49 and Rs 22.59.

Likewise, the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar has been set at Rs 18.40 and the selling rate at Rs 18.48. One Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 465.54 and sold at Rs 467.49, while the Bahraini dinar stands at Rs 379.68 for buying and Rs 381.27 for selling. Similarly, the Omani rial has been fixed at Rs 371.81 for buying and Rs 373.37 for selling.

In addition, the buying rate of one hundred Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also said that rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the latest updates are available on the central bank’s official website.
