Muglin–Narayangadh road unlikely to reopen soon, authorities urge travelers to use alternative routes

CHITWAN: A massive landslide near the Twin Khola bridge around 5 p.m. on Tuesday has once again blocked the Muglin–Narayangadh road section. With little chance of the road reopening anytime soon, the Chitwan District Administration Office has urged travelers and drivers to take alternative routes.

In a public notice issued Tuesday night, the administration advised using routes through Bardibas (Mahottari), Hetauda (Makwanpur), Butwal (Rupandehi), Kawasoti and Gaindakot (Nawalparasi Bardghat Susta East), Naubise (Dhading), and Khairenitar (Tanahun).

“Do not risk your life by traveling through unsafe sections. Safety comes first, travel can wait,” the notice said. “Waiting in hope of the road opening may only cause more difficulty. For now, this is the only option. Efforts are ongoing to clear the road, and updates will be provided once traffic is possible.”

For further information, the administration has asked the public to contact:
