Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly meeting set for December 26



SUDURPASCHIM: The long-awaited session of the Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly, which has been on hold, is now scheduled to convene on December 26.

Speaker Bhim Bahadur Bhandari announced during today’s session of the Provincial Assembly’s Rules of Procedure Advisory Committee that the Assembly will meet on December 26.

The last gathering of the current budget session took place on August 21, and regular meetings have been disrupted since the arson and vandalism incidents at the Provincial Assembly building during the Gen-Z movement on September 9.

As a result, the meeting could not take place, and discussions on significant bills were also suspended. The damage inflicted during the movement is estimated to be around 80 million rupees, affecting the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, the offices of parliamentary parties, and the Parliament building.
