Swayambhu Festival begins



KATHMANDU: The weeklong Swayambhu Festival has begun under the initiation of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 15 to promote local identity and opportunities.

The festival aims to highlight the area’s natural beauty, religious and cultural heritage, traditions, and ancient monuments, including temples, stupas, monasteries, and historic structures.

Key attractions include local food stalls, health check-ups, blood donation drives, Ranjana script writing, portrait painting, cultural performances, and recreational activities. Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah inaugurated the festival.
