Chinese Ambassador Chen Song Pays Farewell Visit to National Assembly Chair



KATHMANDU: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song paid a farewell visit to National Assembly Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal today at his office in Singha Durbar. Ambassador Song is returning home after completing his term in Nepal.

During the meeting, Chairman Dahal praised Ambassador Song for his contributions to strengthening bilateral relations during his tenure.

“You have played a significant role in further enhancing the relations between our two countries,” Chairman Dahal said. “We will remember you as a good friend wherever you are.”

The two leaders also discussed programs organized to mark the 70th anniversary of Nepal-China diplomatic relations in 2025, with Chairman Dahal noting his participation in some of these events.

On the occasion, Ambassador Song expressed gratitude for the support and cooperation he received during his tenure. He said Nepal is a good neighbor and friend of China, and that the two countries have always maintained a deep understanding of each other’s sensitivities and concerns.

Ambassador Song also stated that China is ready to provide necessary assistance for the upcoming House of Representatives elections in March 5, 2026.
