Dr. Baburam Bhattarai leaving for India today



KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai is leaving for India today for his first official visit since forming the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party after the Gen-Z protests.

During his visit, he is scheduled to meet representatives from India’s intellectual, diplomatic, and educational sectors. According to a press note from his personal secretary, Rekhi Gurung, Bhattarai will address the Tech Fest at IIT Bombay and participate in a program at the India International Center in New Delhi.

He is scheduled to return to Nepal on December 24. The press note added that Dr. Bhattarai’s visit aims to further strengthen mutual understanding, friendship, and democratic dialogue between Nepal and India.
