Mother and sister of Bipin appeal to Prime Minister: “We hope you understand our pain”

KATHMANDU: The mother and sister of Mahendranagar resident Bipin Joshi, who has been taken hostage by the Palestinian group Hamas, met with Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Sunday.

At Singha Durbar, they urged the Prime Minister to make continuous efforts for Vipin’s release. Vipin’s mother, Padma Joshi, said that although previous governments had promised to act, no results were achieved, and now they are placing their hope in the current government.

Bipin’s sister, Pushpa Joshi, added that with a mother serving as Prime Minister, she hopes the government can understand a mother’s pain. She also stated that since Vipin is a Nepalese citizen, all authorities must collectively work to ensure his safe return.

Earlier, on Saturday, Hamas’ armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, released images of Bipin Joshi along with 48 Israeli hostages.
