CPN (Unified) concludes province-level meetings

KATHMANDU: Province-level meetings of the CPN (Unified) have been concluded. The Madhesh Province meeting was held in Mahottari on Friday in the presence of senior party leader Kedar Chandra Sharma.

Similarly, the Bagmati Province meeting took place on Saturday at the party’s central office in Maitidevi under the chairmanship of Province Coordinator Jeevan Ram Shrestha.

The meetings discussed party building, future programs of struggle, and strategies to establish the party, positioned as a platform for those who reject corruption, among the public.

It was decided that district committees across the provinces will be completed by the 15th of the month, and committees of people’s organizations will be announced within the same timeframe.

Meanwhile, the Lumbini Province meeting is also underway on Saturday under the chairmanship of Province Coordinator Hari Parajuli, with Acting Party Chair Ghanashyam Bhusal in attendance.

Leaders said the Lumbini meeting holds particular significance as it is Bhusal’s home province. They expressed confidence that by projecting itself as a party of integrity, the CPN (Unified) will emerge as a challenge not only to traditional communist parties but also to other political forces in the days ahead.
