RSP Chair Rabi Lamichhane to attend party program in Chitwan today



KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane is scheduled to attend a party program in Chitwan today.

Lamichhane will participate in the program being organized at Chaubiskoti in Bharatpur Metropolitan City. According to RSP spokesperson Manish Jha, the party chair will deliver a brief but special address at the event, which is set to begin at 11 am.

Spokesperson Jha said Lamichhane will return to Kathmandu later in the afternoon and formally begin a program to meet the families of those killed and injured during the Gen-Z movement.

In a post on social media platform X, Jha wrote, “There will be a program to welcome Chair Rabi Lamichhane at the party’s central office, Ghanti Ghar, Banasthali, at 3 pm tomorrow.”

Lamichhane, who had been in judicial custody at Nakkhu Prison in connection with a cooperative fraud case, was released on bail on Friday after depositing the required compensation amount.

The Butwal bench of the High Court, comprising judges Basudev Acharya and Tej Narayan Poudel, had ordered his release under conditions.
