NC President Deuba meeting with Vice Presidents and General Secretaries

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba is holding a meeting with four senior party leaders this morning.

The meeting is being attended by Vice Presidents Purna Bahadur Khadka and Dhanraj Gurung, and General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma. According to party sources, discussions will focus on the agenda of the general convention, the formation of the statute drafting committee, and other related issues.

The Nepali Congress has announced a schedule to hold its general convention from 26 to 28 Poush. However, several leaders have raised concerns that the proposed timeline may be impractical and difficult to implement.

The agenda proposes holding the central general convention on 26 Poush, following the completion of ward-level conventions.

While the Election and Active Membership Investigation Committee has already been formed, the Statute Drafting Committee has yet to be constituted.
