Moderate rain likely as monsoon trough shifts



KATHMANDU: A shifting monsoon trough is expected to bring increased cloud cover and moderate rainfall to parts of eastern and central Nepal today, with four provinces likely to see the most impact.

The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that it will be generally cloudy in the rest of the hilly areas of the country including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces this afternoon and partially cloudy in the rest of the Terai region.

There is a possibility of moderate rain in some places in Koshi and Bagmati provinces, in a few places in Madhesh and Gandaki provinces and in one or two places in the rest of the country.

The Division has stated that it will be generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces tonight and partially cloudy in the rest of the country.

There is a possibility of moderate rain in a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and in one or two places in the rest of the hilly areas.
