KATHMANDU: Singer Anish Sapkota, popularly known as ‘Okely’, has released a new song titled ‘Swarga Mero‘.
Known for his earlier hits like “Meri Okely” and “Jhyaalbaata Hera”, ‘Okely’ has written, composed, and performed the new track himself.
He said, “I’ve always wanted to create a love song, and that wish has come true with ‘Swarga Mero’. It portrays an imagined world of love. I composed it after careful thought and reflection.”
Although currently living abroad, ‘Okely’ continues to pursue his musical passion. “Even in exile, I keep singing. These days, you can create and share music from anywhere in the world,” he said, adding that he has been consistently working on music each year and learning from collaborations with the younger generation.
‘Okely’ began his musical journey in the 1990s as a founding member of the band ‘Okely’. Over the years, he has become known for popular songs like ‘Gulabi Jado’, ‘Juneli Raat’, ‘Timro Bani Ho’, ‘Timi Nai Ramri’, and his recent release ‘Shimala Bhuwa’.
