Govt. committed to ending all sorts of bonded labour, says DPM Paudel



KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has said that the government was committed to resolving the issues linked with the bonded labour since the practice was already prohibited in the country.

At a meeting with the representatives of National Agriculture Bonded Labourer Struggle Committee in Singhadurbar today, the Finance Minister said the government was preparing for plans as some issues of resettlements of some of the freed bonded labourers were still unsolved.

Minister Paudel stated that the government was serious to the concerns of uncompleted settlement drive of the free bonded labourers including those of Kamaiya, Kamlari, Harawacharawa, Haliya and others.
