RPP leaders stuck at Singha Durbar amid tightened security

KATHMANDU: As the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) continues its protest in the Baneshwor area, several of its key leaders, including Chief Whip Gyanendra Shahi, have been stopped by police and are currently stuck inside the party’s parliamentary office in Singha Durbar.

While RPP Chair Rajendra Lingden led the protest rally through the restricted zone in Baneshwor, security forces tightened surveillance in and around Singha Durbar.

Police, under the command of a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), halted the movement of party members trying to join the protest.

Alongside Shahi, RPP lawmaker Deepak Singh is also reportedly confined within the parliamentary premises due to the security blockade.
