Bhusal appointed acting chief of NDRRMA



KATHMANDU: Dr Bhishma Kumar Bhusal, Joint Secretary at the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), has been entrusted with the role of acting executive chief.

The decision, made at the Home Minister level on January 17, designates Bhusal as the acting chief until further arrangements are made.

His appointment aligns with Rule 5(c) of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Regulations, 2019.

This temporary arrangement follows the conclusion of former executive chief Anil Pokharel’s tenure on December 16.

The process of appointing a new executive chief is currently underway.
