PM Oli claims 2.55 km of roads built daily in last fiscal year

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has claimed Nepal witnessed significant progress in physical infrastructure development, with an average of 2.55 kilometers of road being blacktopped each day in the current fiscal year.

In a post on social media on Saturday, PM Oli claimed that Nepal had made its biggest leap in infrastructure development over the past six years. According to him, a total of 932 kilometers of road have been blacktopped during the current fiscal year alone.

“Six years ago, when our government was in power, the pace of infrastructure development was high. That momentum declined in between, but now that we are back in government, the pace has picked up again. Data shows encouraging progress,” Oli said. “This momentum must be further accelerated,” he added.

On the occasion of Engineers’ Day, PM Oli also extended greetings to engineers across the country.

He acknowledged their key role in the nation’s development and said, “From physical infrastructure to technological innovation, engineers remain our most dependable human resource.”
