Rasuwa floods: Nepali Army rescues 114 flood victims so far



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Army has deployed five helicopters to rescue people affected by floods in Rasuwa.

According to the Nepali Army, 114 people have been rescued as of 8 am Thursday. More than 2,000 Nepali Army personnel have been mobilized for search and rescue operations across the flood-affected areas from Nuwakot to Chitwan.

The army personnel are carrying out search and rescue operations and distributing relief materials in the affected areas. Eleven Nepali Army teams were involved in rescue operations overnight.

The Nepali Army is transporting relief materials to Trishuli using 11 trucks and airlifting them to affected areas as required. So far, four airlift operations carrying relief materials have reached Timure.

A medical team is also being deployed to Trishuli to provide treatment to people injured in the floods.
