CAAN employees’ lunch allowance increased

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance has approved an increase in the lunch allowance for employees of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

The decision aims to enhance the daily allowance for staff working across different shifts.

Previously, CAAN employees received a lunch allowance of Rs 50 per day for attendance, which has now been doubled to Rs 100. Additionally, the lunch allowance for employees working the morning shift has been raised from Rs 75 to Rs 125, while those working the afternoon shift will see their allowance increase from Rs 50 to Rs 100.

The evening shift employees will also benefit from an increase, with their allowance rising from Rs 125 to Rs 175.

The Ministry of Finance’s agreement ensures that the new allowance rates will apply to all levels of employees working at CAAN.
