Unified Socialist aims to win at least one local unit in each district

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has held discussions on its political action plan.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the party deliberated on the political report prepared for presentation at the Central Committee meeting on Falgun 8.

The report, drafted by party chair Madhav Kumar Nepal, outlines strategic goals for the 2084 elections. It instructs leaders to advance plans within their constituencies to achieve electoral success.

The party aims to secure victory in at least 10% of federal and provincial constituencies in each province, win at least one local unit per district, and secure at least one ward per local unit. These targets were a key focus of discussions.

Additionally, the report emphasizes the party’s commitment to nationalism, livelihood issues, good governance, and social justice while continuing to raise its voice against societal corruption, injustice, and oppression.

The party also plans to implement special programs in local governments under its leadership to ensure pro-people governance.

Furthermore, it aims to expose right-wing opportunism and actions against democratic principles.

The political report is set to be presented at the Central Committee meeting on Falgun 8. While it has been distributed for internal review, it has not yet been made public.
