126 Nepali students studying at KIIT return home



BIRGUNJ: A total of 126 Nepali students studying at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) at Odisha state of India have returned home via Raxaul check point.

They returned home citing insecurity following the death of Prakriti Lamsal, a Nepali student at KIIT.

Officiating Chief District Officer at the District Administration Office, Parsa, Nishan Raj Gautam, shared that 103 boy and 23 girl students returned home on Wednesday. He mentioned that the returnee students complained that KIIT administration issued threat and gave mental torture to them.

Meanwhile, the All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Revolutionary) staged demonstration from Consulate General of India, Birgunj to Ghantaghar Chowk on Wednesday, demanding justice to Lamsal.
