KATHMANDU: The price of gold in Nepal has surged by Rs 1,100 per tola in the local market today, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association.

With this increase, the price of fine gold now stands at Rs 170,500 per tola, up from Rs 169,400 on Tuesday.

Similarly, silver prices have also seen an uptick. The precious metal is now being traded at Rs 1,195 per tola, reflecting a rise in market value.
