UML’s Politburo meeting to continue tomorrow

KATHMANDU: The Politburo meeting of the CPN-UML concluded today with the decision to reconvene tomorrow, Saturday, July 19, at 11 AM.

According to Rajendra Gautam, head of the UML Publicity Department, the meeting was held at the UML Central Office in Chyasal, Lalitpur, and was chaired by party Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Eight members participated in today’s meeting.

Gautam informed that the meeting focused on discussions related to the report to be presented at the upcoming statutory general convention.

Earlier, a Secretariat meeting held on Thursday had endorsed several key proposals: the political report by Chairman Oli, the statute amendment report by Vice President Bishnu Prasad Paudel, and the organizational report by General Secretary Shankar Pokharel.

Once the Politburo approves these reports, the Central Committee meeting scheduled for Monday, July 21, will finalize them.

The second statute convention of the UML is set to take place in Godavari, Lalitpur on September 5, 6 and 7.
