Drinking water project completed after five years in Siraha



SIRAHA: A long-awaited drinking water project has been completed in Dawar and Nainapurtol of Dhangadhimai Municipality-13, Siraha.

Implemented under the Federal Drinking Water and Sewerage Management Project, Janakpur, the initiative took five years to complete at a cost of Rs 109.4 million and now benefits over 1,000 households in Wards 11, 12, and 13.

Sarban Thakuri, Chairperson of the Dawartol-Nainpurtol Drinking Water and Sanitation Consumer Committee, confirmed that water has already been distributed to consumers on a trial basis.

Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation, Pradeep Yadav, stated that the project will be officially inaugurated on Ashad 20. Preparations for the inauguration are currently underway, he added.
