Scarcity of anti-rabies vaccine in Baitadi

BAITADI: A shortage of anti-rabies vaccine in Baitadi district has forced residents to travel outside the district to receive necessary vaccinations.

According to Harish Pant, Information Officer at the District Hospital, the vaccine has been out of stock at the hospital for the past three weeks. The Provincial Supply Center has already been notified about the shortage.

Anti-rabies vaccines are usually administered at the District Hospital, Patan Primary Health Center, and Kesharpur Primary Health Center.

The vaccine is essential for individuals who have been bitten by dogs, cats, and other domestic animals, as well as wild animals such as foxes and wolves.
