CPN-UML general convention: Voting taking place today



KATHMANDU: Voting at the 11th general convention of the CPN-UML will begin at 8 am today (Wednesday).

General Secretary Shankar Pokharel said the voting, which had been scheduled for Tuesday evening, was postponed following discussions between presidential candidates KP Sharma Oli and Ishwor Pokharel.

The voting process, initially planned for Tuesday afternoon, had already been delayed several times. Electronic voting machines will be used for the election.

The UML general convention has a total of 2,263 delegates. According to technicians, it will take approximately 30 minutes for each delegate to cast a vote.
